The Pregnancy Diaries: baby clothes GALORE!

So I've been slowly building baby's wardrobe with a few essentials.  Sometimes when work has been especially stressful I'll take my lunch break to have a mini shopping spree at our local kids consignment store, Kid2Kid.  I seriously love this store because they have the cutest clothes (all in amazing condition) from really cute stores like Gap, Old Navy, Ralph Lauren, etc for the BEST prices.  A onesie for 99 cents?  You can't beat it.  So I've made 3-4 trips buying a few things each time.  I had about 3/4 of a drawer full of baby clothes sized newborn-12 months including onesies, church pants, and shorts.  I was kind of waiting until after my baby showers to really stock up so I didn't end up with way too much.  But then the extern at work (who has 2 boys and is done having kids) offered me all of her baby clothes.  Of course I said YES and thanksamillion!!!  So I'm expecting like a mini wardrobe.  Wrong - this was an extraordinarily large wardrobe of baby boy clothes!  2 FULL trash bags of clothes + a Huggies diaper box also full to the tippy top!  I sorted through everything, picked what I wanted to keep (discarded a full trash bag of clothes that weren't really my style) and still this child has more clothes than I even know what to do with!...and I have lots of experience in the "having too many clothes" department...just ask T.

Well.  We've been slowly packing up the apartment so it isn't a mad rush right before the move and also so we have more time to spend with the baby in his first few weeks of life instead of spending it all packing.  Since we won't be needing any clothes bigger than 3 months before the move to CA we packed all that away.  I have one full box each of 3-6 mo, 6-9 mo, 9-12mo, and 12-18mo.  I kept all newborn and 0-3 mo clothes out, of course.  Then I washed all these little newborn-3mo clothes and it filled up my entire washer.

See?
It's an insane amount of clothes.  After washing I folded everything up and put it all away into two drawers, which are now both completely full.

Drawer 1
Drawer 2.  Sorry, I tried a million times to flip this photo and even though it's flipped the right way when I look at it in my files it somehow keeps uploading sideways!

Everything is SO cute and I'm so excited to have all these clothes but I honestly don't think he will even get a chance to wear everything before he grows out of the newborn size.

I counted his articles of clothing so you can have a better idea of how many clothes there really are...seriously, it's a lot. Ready?
  • 33 onesies
  • 4 short sleeve tops
  • 12 footed jammies
  • 5 sweaters
  • 2 church pants
  • 3 shorts
  • 2 sweatpants
  • 3 long sleeve tops
  • 7 cloth bibs
  • 31 pairs of socks
And that's only the newborn-3mo sized stuff.  I didn't count of fold/put away any of the bigger sizes!  This is one lucky little boy!
