This post is SO late in coming but better late than never, right? We had a
splendid time in California two weekends ago! One of the highlights was definitely the super fun baby shower thrown by my sister-in-law, Alyson. I brought my camera and intended to take pictures but I failed. Good thing Alyson took several and sent them my way!
The shower was held at Alyson's house. First, we had a delicious light dinner. There was so much good food! I don't know the names of everything so I'm stealing the food list directly off Alyson's blog!:
chicken pasta salad, caprese skewers, fruit bruschetta, fruit platter with french cream dip, veggie platter with dill dip, salami & cream cheese (my favorite), Hawaiian sweet rolls, artichoke dip & strawberry angel food cake for dessert.
Everyone thought the food was so delicious! We skipped games for this shower (I think people were pretty happy about that!) and just mingled, ate, and opened presents. Baby Boy Wallace is so so so spoiled!!! We received so many nice and thoughtful gifts! He is so lucky to have so many people who love him so much before they have even met him! I don't have my gift list with me but I will try to remember everything we were given for baby:
2 handmade blankets, handmade burp cloths, our crib, newborn sleeper, books, hand drawn picture for the nursery, lots of cute cute clothes, baby monitor, breast pump, baby shoes, baby lotion, shampoo, powder, bath towels, temporal artery thermometer, bottles, taggie blanket, diapers, diaper cake, money, gift cards, car seat toys, stuffed animals, handmade diaper holder, handmade teepee cup, handmade changing pad.

This shower was seriously so much fun! I think everyone had a great time! A huge thanks to Alyson for hosting it!
