Meet our little troublemaker.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

He goes by Phillip or "Pillip" or "Pup" or "Baby."

Currently: 11 months old, almost walking, into everything, can't sit still for the life of him, a trouble-maker through and through.

But also just about the smiliest, happiest, friendliest baby you ever did meet. And so cute that we forgive him for all his wrong-doings aka causing disasters everywhere he goes.

Exhibit A: we sometimes do not feed him breakfast fast enough so the only way to satisfy is to just give him the bowl and let him have at it. he's resourceful so it works out.

Exhibit B: the high chair Jack used until 18 months old could not restrain Phillip past six months. Tighten that seat belt as much as you want, folks. He will get out.
We now store him in a safer, non-fabric (hence, no give) high chair.

Exhibit C: always climbing everything. Everything.

 Exhibit D: no words.

Exhibit E: Jack might be in the picture but "Pillip" made 90% of this mess.
Note the smile.

Exhibit F: The Dishwasher. "Pup's" favorite toy of all the toys.
Gotta make sure you close it til it locks because otherwise he knows how to open it.

Exhibit G: The laundry monster. Should I post the video of how hilarious he thought it was to pull my folded clothes out of the basket as fast as he could? Especially after I told him "no." It was real comical, guys. Real comical. Especially while I was re-folding all those clothes.

Exhibit H: Looking at this picture, I don't feel as bad for poor little Pup who Jack sits on and says "giddy up, horsey! yee-haw!" Don't dish it if you can't take it. Amiright?

Exhibit I: If you have ever had a "climber" for a child then you know what I mean when I say what is the point of cart seat belts anyway?

Exhibit J: Oh, did you just pack all that, mom?
[just kidding...luckily this is jamie's suitcase full of mission clothes she was modeling for us ha.]

Exhibit K: "what's in this box, guys?

"Pizza? Don't mind if I do."

Exhibit L: that climbing thing again.

I could go all the way to Z but I think you get the idea.

If you are wondering where I have been (hello? blogging world? do you even still exist?" I wouldn't know since I am probably 300 posts behind on reading other blogs and about the same amount of posts behind here) THIS is one of the very main reasons. Can't. Keep. Up. Well, I can. But I can't keep up + blog.

You win some, you lose some.

See you for a photo dump really very soon!

Holiday-ing

Sunday, December 21, 2014

We were so excited this weekend to go with my sister-in-law and family to Old Sac's Theater of Light show. We've never been before but the kidlets loved it! After the show we took a horse-drawn carriage ride around the town. Jack was pretty enamored with the horse. He was pretty sure it's name was "Callie" since that's the name of the horse he rode in Colorado ha. Turns out it was not named Callie. Imagine that. And...pictures!

 ^excuse our creepy eyes^

^jack jack was so lucky and got to go on the carriage ride twice! once with us and once with his cousins.^

huge photo dump posts coming soon!
because i am determined to be caught up by christmas and blog about the holidays in real time.

WE'RE ALIVE!

WE'RE ALIVE!

...barely.

Okay, I'm a little bit of a drama queen but Jack, Phillip & I are ALL sick which is just about the last thing I needed when the house has already been a mess for weeks and I feel like I'm playing catch-up all. the. time.

Today will be spent (wasted!) hanging out on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Christmas 1,000 times. And because Phillip is on the mend (the boys have got hand, foot & mouth disease ugh!) there will also be some baby-chasing going on. And meals still have to be made. And diapers still have to be changed. And sippy cups still need to be filled up. And so when I said today will be spent on the couch I mostly meant the next five minutes (while the boys are playing mostly nicely together in the playroom - I'm hearing the occasional "baaaaaaby nooooo don't touch that!!!" in a very high pitched squeal) will be spent on the couch nursing my pounding headache and throbbing sore throat.

Oh. And since this blog post is already a big fat whine-fest, I'll just go ahead and tell you the worst part of it all.  The family Christmas party at Tom's office is on Friday and the kids were supposed to meet Santa (and get gifts from him!) and I am SO bummed because I think Jack would have been really excited about meeting Santa this year not to mention the family Christmas party is always a good time. Granted, he will still meet Santa at our church Christmas party but now what to do with those gifts Santa was supposed to give the boys on Friday?! SO BUMMED.

Well. Jack just came running in screaming "mommy! the train fell down!" - and I thought he said the tree fell down so I was a little bit panicked for half a second thinking someone knocked down the Christmas tree ha. I must go check out the train-fell-down business as Jack is tugging on me saying "come on, mommy!" And also Phillip just came crawling in and is hysterical that I won't let him touch the computer.

...so much for hanging out on the couch all day?!

I will be back SO soon with many blog updates! Promise promise.
